Anger and outbursts
Anger is a normal, healthy emotion — and big outbursts and meltdowns can be hard for both kids and parents! Kids can learn skills to recognize anger early, calm their bodies, and express frustration in safe and effective ways. Parents can learn skills to help them support their child in expressing and safely decreasing the intensity of their anger during tough moments, while maintaining boundaries. We’ve gathered Minds in Bloom resources on anger and outbursts to help parents understand what’s driving the behavior and teach kids how to cool down, communicate, and co-regulate.
